The current Range Rover Sport still looks very good on any road, but that doesn't mean that a new model isn't due soon. The first spy shots of the upcoming, new model have been taken as the car was sighted performing a test drive in Gaydon, where the Land Rover Headquarters are located. The car in the image is unmistakably a Range Rover, but the company have done their best to cover up as much of the styling details as they can. However, we can still see that the roof is more sloping and lower, giving a more sporting appearance than the current car. This is emphasized by the narrower side windows and the front windscreen which is much more steeply-raked. The headlamps are also much more narrow, compared to the very rectangular ones which currently feature, and could take styling cues from the stunning Range Rover Evoque. LED lights should also feature for even more visual appeal. Furthermore, since the company has covered up the grille, expect that to be different too. As for the engines, the new car will feature a storming 5.0 litre V8 and a more tame 3.0 litre V6. It should also be faster, with the more aerodynamic design plus the massive 400kg loss in weight, whilst being a little greener as well. However, the prices could be higher than the current car, in order to increase the luxury and bring the car in line with the raft of upcoming SUVs from more expensive brands, including the Maserati Kubang, the Bentley EXP 9 F, and the Lamborghini Elemento. We should see the first official pictures of how the car should look surfacing towards the end of the year.
