Like the Astra, which we reported on earlier, Vauxhall's ever popular Insignia is also due for a mid-cycle refresh. Like with most of the models in the Vauxhall range, the Insignia will be branded as an Opel in many European markets. The updated car has been spotted testing, and from the photo, expect the main exterior changes to cover both the front and the rear. The grille appears to be redesigned, possible to keep in line with the recently unveiled Astra facelift, and expect LED daytime running lights to decorate the headlights and give them a more upmarket and distinguished look. The bumpers will also experience some design tweaks. Engine wise, there will be a brand new 1.6 turbodiesel variant joining the line-up, making the car more fuel efficient and economical. The updated model will officially be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show next year, before arriving in showrooms in September 2013.
