This is the third generation model of Hyundai's hit Santa Fe SUV which is set to take on the Mitsubishi Outlander when the
Hyundai goes on sale this coming October. Compared to the more conservative styling of the Mitsubishi, the Santa Fe features a more iconic and bold design. This new car is also 40mm longer and 5mm wider than its predecessor, and also 45mm closer to the road which is part of the attempt to make this car appear more sporty. Compared to the outgoing model, this is certainly achieved. However, only one engine will be on offer from launch: a 2.2 litre diesel, which produces a healthy197bhp. This would emit 155g/km of CO2, but this figure increase to 175g/km if you opt for the 4WD automatic option. Prices start at £25,495 for the basic model, but the £28,995 premium model is worth considering as it also comes laden with a reversing camera, Sat-nav, and leather upholstery as standard.
