The Ford Fiesta first came into being in 1976, and since then it has gone on to become a global success, selling around 12 million cars. So when Ford announces its face-lifting the current Fiesta, you know you'll see the new car by the thousands on the roads. It is currently unknown exactly what exterior changes the American manufacturer will make to the Fiesta range, but I predict the Fiesta to receive a more refined look, with slightly redesigned headlights, like in the Fiesta ST Concept unveiled last year; the updated car has been spied, but it was heavily disguised. However. it is highly expected that Ford will add an engine to the line-up capable of producing less than 120g/km of CO2, making the Fiesta more affordable and more attractive to environmentally conscious buyers. The updated car will be seen in September this year, making its debut at the Paris Motor Show, before it hits showrooms in December. Though sedan versions of the Fiesta have been spotted testing, Ford has no plans to bring them to the UK.
