Jaguar C-X75: it's a Jaguar Hypercar
Since it's unveiling at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, the Jaguar C-X75 has set pulses racing at the thought of a Jaguar hybrid hypercar becoming a reality. Now, the C-X75 is confirmed for production and will lead a revolution for Jaguar. Plus, it's a hybrid hypercar. You don't hear that very often.

Jaguar C-X75 Power
The Jaguar C-X75 will enter new territory for the company. It's set to
feature a 4 cylinder 1.6 litre petrol engine that's been turbocharged and supercharged, giving 500bhp. But this Jaguar hypercar is also a hybrid, so two axial-flux electric motors (one front and one rear) will push power to around 780bhp. Plus, the C-X75's 0-60mph time will be under 3 seconds. We can't wait.

Jaguar C-X75: it's a Jaguar Hybrid
The C-X75 is a Jaguar hypercar, but it's also a Jaguar Hybrid. With 2 new, light and high-revving axial-flux electric motors clutched independently from the petrol engine, the Jaguar C-X75 can be driven on purely petrol power, electric only or petrol-electric hybrid. A 200kg battery features, capable of generating a huge 250kW of power during acceleration. So, expect very impressive economy figures and sub 100g/km of CO2.

Jaguar C-X75 Rival
The Jaguar C-X75 will have one big rival: the Porsche 918. Both are hybrid hypercars that will cost around £700,000 but the C-X75 will deliver a greater electric range whilst the Porsche is more petrol focused. Plus, the Jaguar hypercar is the better looking of the two with its beautiful, flowing futuristic design.

 Jaguar C-X75 Verdict
The Jaguar C-X75 is the car that will truly define the brand and lead its renaissance. It's a Jaguar hybrid hypercar; that speaks for itself.

Unfortunately, the C-X75 was recently cancelled by Jaguar due to concerns of whether a hypercar like this is really necessary during such unstable economic times. Hopefully, this won't be the end of the Jaguar Hybrid.
