The Audi A1 first launched as an ordinary supermini hatchback with a premium edge in 2010, and since then it has met with immense success and sales. And now, the German manufacturer is turning up the heat on the hit supermini, by launching a tuned up S1 variant. The S1, pictured left, will have a slightly more aggressive take on the current A1 in order to hint at its sporting capabilities, whilst adding a four-wheel drive system. The S1 will feature 2.0 litre turbocharged TFSI engine, which will produce 220bhp. The S1 arrives in 2013, with a starting price of around £25,000. But, will BMW and Mercedes produce a rival? We certainly hope so, but what do you think?
